Itinerary:

• You will be picked up from your hotel by Merit Amun Egypt Tours Egyptologist tour guide, starting with  Sakkara areological site “the most important historical site in Egypt ” to  the visit of Step Pyramid of  king Djoser , the oldest major stone structure in our history . It was built in the 3rd Dynasty  around 4600 yrs , also we can visit wonderful pyramid of king Unas it is belong to 5th Dynasty where we can see the pyramids text decorated it is walls from inside with beautiful colors date back over than 4000 yrs .

• The next place to transfer to Memphis which was founded by King Menes, and  it was the capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom, it was considered to be a center of rule and culture for over 3000 years, also it was the first capital of Egypt during ancient Egyptian time , there we can visit Memphis open air Museum to see a lot of monuments date back to different times like  the Statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx of Memphis.

• Next, your guide will take you to the nearby Pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure where you will learn about the Pharaohs who built them and the symbolism behind their design. The Pyramid of Khafre which is the second largest pyramid, built for the pharaoh Khafre who was the son of Khufu. The pyramid is unique in that it still has some of its original casing stones at the very top, as well as a mortuary temple and causeway leading to it.

• Up to the Pyramid of Menkaure, which is the smallest of the three pyramids and was originally planned to be a much larger pyramid. Only the lower section was constructed due to the pharaoh’s early death. The Pyramids of Giza were not only impressive engineering feats, but they also served as symbols of the pharaohs’ power and divinity.

• The tour will be concluded with a visit to the mighty Sphinx, which is a mythical creature that is often portrayed as having the head of a human and the body of a lion. In ancient Egyptian mythology, the Sphinx was considered as a guardian and was believed to have supernatural powers to keep away evil spirits. In popular culture, the most famous Sphinx is the Egyptian Sphinx, which is a statue with the head of a pharaoh and the body of a lion. The Great Sphinx of Giza is the largest and most famous of all the Egyptians pharaoh and the body of a lion. Sphinxes, located in Giza, Egypt. It is believed to have been built during the reign of the Pharaoh Khafre in the Old Kingdom period, around 2500 BC. The Great Sphinx of Egypt is a marvel of ancient engineering and serves as a testament to the ingenuity of the ancient Egyptians. The statue is carved from a single piece of limestone, weighing approximately 200 tons. It stands 20 meters tall and 73 meters long, making it one of the largest statues in the world.
