Itinerary:

Day 1: The Exciting Start and Majestic Abu Simbel

Upon your arrival, you will be greeted warmly either at the airport  by Merit Amun Egypt tours ,Then  you will be transported through a top-notch air-conditioned vehicle to your luxurious cruise awaiting at the port, After settling in, we begin the exploration with an afternoon trip to the monumental Temple of Abu Simbel, a historic site, comprising two massive rock-cut temples in the village of Abu Simbel. The complex was relocated in its entirety in 1968 to higher ground to avoid it being submerged by Lake Nasser, the Aswan Dam reservoir. Be astonished by the temple’s  grandeur and the detailed carvings, which narrate fascinating tales of ancient Egypt. As the day fades, return to the Nile Cruise. From the sun deck, feast your eyes on a panoramic view of the remains of Qasr Ibrim, an ancient citadel that has witnessed millennia of Nile’s history. Spend the night on the Nile Cruise, lulled by the gentle waves of the Nile.

Day 2: Journeys through Ancient Temples

Start your day with a visit to the Temple of Derr, a temple chiseled from stone, filled with exquisite inscriptions, awaits on Aswan’s western bank of the Nile. It was created during Ramses II’s rule and showcases the deep cultural and historical significance of ancient Nubia.Within its architecture lie details that provide a rich understanding of the religious practices, artistic expressions, and architectural  advancements of this ancient civilization. Further, an inspection of its radiant embellishments reveals a portal into the past — the Tomb of Penniut. This provides a unique perspective on theburial practices and rituals of the era, as well as the prevalent architectural styles of the time. The exploration of this burial site allows an intimate connection with history and a deep understanding of Ancient Egyptian burial traditions. A key stopon our itinerary is Wadi es-Sebua, a valley harboring an awe-inspiring ancient temple devoted to Amun, the supreme god, also known as ‘Valley of the Lions.’ Constructed during the 19th Dynasty of Ancient Egypt, the temple served as a prominent   religious center under Pharaoh Ramesses II. An interesting aspect of Wadi es-Sebua is its alignment with celestial events. This is succeeded by a visit to the Dakka Temple, dedicated to Thoth, the god of wisdom, embodying part of the long history and vibrant culture of one of the world’s oldest civilizations. As the sun sets, the Cruise sets sail,offering picturesque views of the Nile as you retire for an overnight stay on board.

 

Day 3: Discovering Hidden Historical Gems

Commence your day’s adventure with a visit to Lake Nasser’s largest free-standing temple, the Kalabsha temple.Renowned for its grand portals and complex inscriptions, this Nubian temple was crafted during Emperor Augustus’s termand was a tribute to the Nubian sun god, Mandulis. Overlooking the Nile River, the temple is a strategically positionedhomage to ensure the blessings of the deity. Following, our exploration leads us to Beit el-Wali, an extraordinary site,home to a historic Egyptian temple. Its architectural excellence and religious significance have fascinated visitors forgenerations. Later, we navigate to the Kiosk of Qertassi, an unfinished and elegant Roman structure with narrow papyruscolumns. The day’s discovery ends with a visit to the remains of the unique Temple of Gerf Hussein, a symbol of the
blend of ancient civilizations. This rock-cut temple, dating back to the Greco-Roman period, is dedicated to Ramses II. After fully immersing in the day’s exploration, we return to our Nile Cruise for a leisurely voyage into the sunset, concluding with a mesmerizing sunrise view and an overnight on board of the Cruise.

Day 4: Bidding Farewell to the Nile

On your final day, after a joyful and educational adventure, you will be having breakfast on board, then we will check out from the Nile  Cruise and will be moving to either Aswan airport or Aswan railway station escorted by a Merit Amun Egypt tours Representative for final departure and waving goodbye to the Nile and its ancient wonders.
